Ratusan Makanan Berbahaya di Temukan di Gorontalo

TEMPO Interaktif, Gorontalo - Sebanyak 806 bahan farmasi dan makanan yang tidak memenuhi syarat serta berbahaya ditemukan oleh Badan Pengawasan Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) Provinsi Gorontalo beredar di masyarakat.

Temuan itu hasil pemeriksaan sarana distribusi sediaan farmasi dan makanan Januari hingga Oktober 2010. ”Antara lain jamu tradisional berbahan kimia obat, kosmetik berbahan berbahaya, serta produk jajanan dan obat kadaluarsa,” kata Kepala BPOM, Abdul Rahim, di kantornya.

Menurut dia, 151 produk farmasi yang berbahaya dan tidak layak ditemukan di sejumlah apotek, toko obat, instalasi farmasi, serta di kantor pusat kesehatan masyarakat (puskesmas). Sebanyak 523 produk pangan yang tidak memenuhi syarat, seperti kadaluarsa atau tidak memiliki izin, ditemukan di sejumlah supermarket, toko pengecer, dan agen distributor di wilayah itu. ”Barang yang kami temukan sudah disita. Nilainya Rp 167.828.700."
